Today the system of Yoga in Daily Life is practiced and known in every corner of the globe and is taught in thousands of locations and institutions throughout the world. We can find it in schools, pre-schools, sport centers, spas (e.g. it has been practised for 25 years in the famous spa Resort of Piestany, Slovakia), rehabilitation centers, cultural centers, private clubs etc. The system has proven to be significantly beneficial for both rehabilitation and preventative health measures, such as problems of the vegetative nervous system, stress-induced illness, psycho-somatic illness, sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease and other functional illnesses. International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship

Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda initiated the foundation of The International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship in 1990 in order to unite all associations of Yoga in Daily Life. This fellowship is the umbrella organisation of Yoga in Daily Life. It is a non-profit organisation seated in Vienna in Austria and its activities include serving humankind by fostering health, world peace, humanitarian aid, human rights, protection of the environment and all creatures, tolerance, respect and freedom among religions, cultures and nations.

Fellowship Activities

The International Sri Deep Madhavananda Ashram Fellowship initiated a global fundraising program for the victims of the devastating cyclone in Orissa (India) and also activated further humanitarian projects developed for local areas of Rajasthan in India in 1999 (a support program for school children, health care, water supply and fire-fighting service). Additional activities initiated by the Fellowship included the organisation of world peace meetings and gatherings, considering that recent civil conflicts, wars and terrorist events elicited strong international calls in defense of human rights and peace in the world. The Fellowship initiated a global fundraising program for the victims of earthquake and tsunami in India and Sri Lanka in 2005.
